Our backgrounds are in pharmacy and biology. Artificial intelligence brought our worlds together. Today, our work spans research, code, teaching and science communication.

RESEARCH & BUILD

Juanjo do Olmo

Pharmacist · Lead AI Scientist

I research and develop AI for healthcare at the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi. I work with language models, agents and software to connect research with real-world problems.

As Lead AI Scientist, I develop AI agent platforms and systems that detect anomalies in medication use. I co-founded CogniGuard, a cognitive health monitoring tool, and previously worked on rare diseases at Foundation 29.

I also teach at UB, Hespérides and Middlesex, and co-founded AI, Drugs & Robots and AprenderIA: places where I share what I research and build.

Olga Fernández Romero

Biologist · Educator and science & AI communicator

I'm a biologist, educator and science communicator. I connect science, education and AI to make complex ideas accessible without losing accuracy. I work with companies and universities on training, consulting and AI adoption.

My experience combines AI in education and healthcare with teaching genetics and cell biology. I have served as a national degree programme coordinator and led teams of more than 100 people.

I co-founded AI, Drugs & Robots and AprenderIA, bringing together my experience in science, education and project leadership to help people understand and use AI.
